Why Korean Skincare?

Korean facials are more than just a pampering experience — they focus on achieving luminous, healthy skin through innovative techniques and high-quality ingredients. From deep cleansing to gentle exfoliation and targeted serums, each step is designed to enhance your skin's natural beauty, leaving you feeling refreshed and radiant.

Whether you're looking to boost hydration, improve texture, or simply relax, Korean facials provide a comprehensive approach to skincare that is fully customized to you. Korean beauty philosophy prioritizes skin health over heavy makeup, focusing on long-term results rather than quick fixes.

Which facial should I choose?

You should begin with the Signature Korean Facial, which allows me to customize a treatment based on your individual skin concerns and skin type. From there, I can formulate a plan with the perfect combination of home care and professional treatments — including chemical peels — to help you achieve your best skin.

How often do I need a facial?

This depends on your individual skincare needs and goals — something we'll decide together. For generally healthy skin, a facial every month or two is a great cadence. For clients targeting specific concerns like acne, hyperpigmentation, or signs of aging, more frequent treatments may be recommended initially.

Can I do a chemical peel during my first appointment?

No — and there are two important reasons for this. First, I need to assess whether you are a good candidate for a chemical peel based on your skin type, history, and current condition. Second, your skin needs to be properly prepared through facials and a consistent home care routine before a peel is introduced. This preparation typically takes a month or two.

When is the best time to do a chemical peel?

Fall and winter are the ideal seasons for chemical peels. Freshly peeled skin is more sensitive to sun exposure and heat, so the cooler, lower-UV months make recovery much easier and safer. It is also essential to follow all pre and post-care instructions and to be diligent about applying sunscreen daily — year round, but especially after a peel.

What is Carboxy Therapy?

Carboxy therapy is a two-part treatment using a carbon dioxide gel and a treatment mask to create the Bohr effect: when your skin is temporarily deprived of oxygen, red blood cells rush to the area to deliver it — boosting collagen production and hydration in the process.

The result is increased circulation, improved skin texture, and a powerful brightening effect. It's one of the most effective treatments for dull, tired skin and is popular in Korean esthetics for its immediate visible glow.

What is the SSS — Signature Salmon Sperm Facial?

Sounds surprising — but the results speak for themselves. PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) consists of DNA fragments extracted from salmon sperm cells. It is a clinically studied ingredient known to accelerate tissue repair, improve hyperpigmentation, reduce inflammation, and increase collagen synthesis.

Our Signature Salmon Sperm Facial harnesses this powerful ingredient for visibly firmer, brighter, and more even-toned skin. It's one of the most talked-about treatments in Korean esthetics right now — and for good reason.

What do you think about snail mucin?

Snail mucin was hugely popular in Korea and made its way over to the States — it was trendy... until it wasn't. While it does have some hydrating and healing properties, it's been largely overshadowed by more innovative and effective Korean skincare ingredients. There are better options available today.

Do I need to buy homecare products?

While I won't force you to buy anything, I can promise you this: using good professional-grade products morning and night is necessary to see the best results from your treatments. What you do at home between appointments accounts for the majority of your skin's progress. Think of your facials as the accelerator — your home care routine is the engine.

How should I prepare for my facial?

  • 48 hours before: discontinue use of retinoids, exfoliants, acids, and scrubs
  • 1 week before: avoid heavy sun exposure and tanning
  • Day of: arrive with a clean face, free from makeup and skincare products
  • Let me know about any new medications, supplements, or skin changes at your appointment

What is the aftercare for SkinPen Microneedling?

What skin concerns do you treat?

At Lindsey Rapp Skin we treat a wide range of concerns including acne and acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, fine lines and loss of firmness, dullness and dehydration, enlarged pores and rough texture, and redness and sensitivity. Every treatment is fully customized — no two clients receive the exact same facial.

Is Lindsey Rapp Skin right for me if I have sensitive skin?

Absolutely. Korean skincare philosophy is rooted in gentleness and skin barrier support — making it an excellent fit for sensitive skin types. All treatments are fully customized and I will always choose the most appropriate products and techniques for your skin's current condition. Please let me know about any known sensitivities or allergies before your appointment.

Do you offer services for men?

Yes — great skin has no gender. All treatments at Lindsey Rapp Skin are available to everyone. Men commonly seek facials for acne, ingrown hairs, rough texture, and overall skin health. Korean skincare is just as effective and beneficial for male skin types.
